- Look up your available Wi-Fi networks on your device
- Select TasGov_Free from the list
- Accept the terms & conditions

- Look up available networks on your device.
- Select the Libraries_Tasmania network.
- Open any webpage and accept the terms and conditions.
Do I need a login or password to access the free Wi-Fi?
No. A login or password is not required.
You will be asked to accept the usage terms and conditions when connecting to the free public Wi-Fi.
Can I use the free public Wi-Fi at any time of day?
Access to free public Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week where possible.
Wi-Fi may be only available between set hours of the day to ensure safety of users.
For example, public Wi-Fi is available between 6.00am -9.0pm at 46 libraries around Tasmania.
Do you track my usage or save my personal information when I connect to the Tas_Gov Free network?
Personal details are not saved, shared or actively tracked on the TasGov_Free network.
You are not required to create an account to use the free public Wi-Fi provided by the Tasmanian Government.
Usage information may be tracked through the network provider and may be monitored for performance and security reasons. See the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Are staff available to help me connect to the free Wi-Fi?
Staff at Tasmanian Government customer service locations where free Wi-Fi is available may provide guidance to you on how to connect to the free Wi-Fi service.
Staff are not able to provide one to one coaching on how to use the internet or troubleshoot connection issues.

Will free public Wi-Fi be available at all Tasmanian Government locations in the future?
Free public Wi-Fi will be available at many Tasmanian Government locations.
