PECAN+

PECAN+ is a national cyber security Capture The Flag (CTF) competition developed and managed by the School of Science at Edith Cowan University (Western Australia). The Competition is open to Australian high school students in years 10-12. This collaborative initiative brings together higher education institutions, cyber security industry, teachers and students around an aim of raising cyber security awareness, skills and aspirations.

Tasmanian Competition

The Tasmanian leg of PECAN+  is let by the College of Business and Economics, University of Tasmania, with competitions running in both the north and south of the state at the Sandy Bay and Inveresk campuses for students from Years 9-12. The event runs on the 3rd and 4th of August and is completely free.  The School provides a day of training and industry presentations, followed by a competition day, with prizes, mentorship, and certificates for students.
